Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Peptivo LLC, operating as Vitakey ("Peptivo," "Vitakey," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, complete a health intake, or otherwise use our Services. It also explains the choices and rights available to you. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the information Peptivo LLC collects through the Vitakey website, account tools, intake forms, and related administrative Services. It doesn't cover information collected directly by the independent providers or pharmacies you're connected with — they maintain their own privacy and medical-record practices, and may provide you with a separate Notice of Privacy Practices governing how they handle your protected health information.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways:

  • Account information — your name, email, phone number, date of birth, and shipping address
  • Health intake information — the medical history, current medications, allergies, symptoms, and goals you share as part of a consultation, along with anything you send your provider through messaging
  • Payment information — billing details processed through our payment provider; we don't store full card numbers ourselves
  • Communications — messages you send our support team and call notes
  • Device & usage information — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and general interaction data collected automatically when you use the website

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the Services, including creating your account and processing your intake
  • Connect you with a provider and pharmacy appropriate to your request and location
  • Process payments, shipping, and subscription billing
  • Communicate with you about your account, orders, and appointments
  • Improve the website and understand how people use it
  • Meet legal, regulatory, and security obligations, including fraud prevention

We don't use your health intake information for advertising, and we don't sell it.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to provide the Services:

  • Independent providers reviewing your intake and treating you
  • Independent pharmacies fulfilling a prescription issued by your provider
  • Service providers who support our platform — payment processors, shipping carriers, cloud hosting, and customer support tools — under agreements limiting their use of your data to the services they provide us
  • Legal & safety purposes, where required to comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, safety, or property of Peptivo, our users, or the public
  • Business transfers, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where your information may transfer as part of that transaction under continued privacy protections

We don't share your health information with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Health information & HIPAA

Your treating providers and dispensing pharmacies are independently responsible for safeguarding your protected health information under HIPAA and applicable state law. Peptivo LLC supports the platform that connects you with them and takes administrative, technical, and physical safeguards seriously in how it handles the health information that passes through our systems.

Note: Your provider or pharmacy may issue you a separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices describing how they specifically use and disclose your health information. That notice governs their handling of your records, separate from this policy.

6. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the website. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the site function. We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles about you.

7. Text & email communications

If you provide your phone number and opt in, we may send appointment reminders, shipping updates, or refill notices by text message. Message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP or updating your account preferences. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link in every message. Transactional messages — like order confirmations or safety notices — aren't optional while your account is active, since they're necessary to deliver the Services.

8. Data retention

We retain account and health intake information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, medical record-keeping, and business obligations. Retention periods for clinical records may be longer where required by the laws governing your treating provider or pharmacy. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. How we protect your information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including encryption in transit, access controls, and routine security review. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work to reduce risk and respond quickly if something goes wrong.

10. Your privacy choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information in your account
  • Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 16. We'll verify your identity before processing your request.

11. California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we've collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We don't sell your personal information and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there's no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" action needed on this site. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy and provide the required opt-out.

12. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we've collected information from a minor, we'll delete it promptly.

13. Third-party links & services

Our website may link to third-party sites, or connect you with independent providers, pharmacies, and payment processors that maintain their own privacy practices. This policy doesn't cover how those third parties handle your information — review their privacy policies separately.

14. International visitors

The Services are intended for use within the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be processed and stored in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technology, or legal obligations change. When we do, we'll post the revised version here with an updated effective date, and where required by law, we'll provide additional notice or seek your renewed consent.
